Me and Santa

Check it out.. I met Santa Claus today! Mommy and Daddy took me to the WXYZ family Christmas party. It was fun! I met all sorts of people my Daddy works with. And I got a fuzzy new teddy bear. Check out the picture of me hugging Teddy. A pretty cool way to start my 5th month.

Two teeth!

Check out a video of Mommy and me playing a tickle game. Look closely and you can see the newest additions to my face.. TWO LITTLE TEETH!!! One came in a couple of weeks ago.. and the other one arrived last week. I'm not sure what they're for.. but Daddy says "OUCH!" when I chomp down on his fingers!

I've been having lots of fun these days. I wake up.. I eat and play.. then I nap.. then I wake up and play and eat.. then I nap again.. and keep that up until about 11pm. Life is good!

Tubby Time!

I love playing in the bathtub! Not only do I get squeaky clean.. but I get to splash! What a fun thing to do after I eat my oatmeal and before I go to bed.

Oh.. I forgot to tell you. Mommy dressed me up for the big game a couple of weeks ago. I don't look too happy cuz my team didn't win.

4 months old!

I'm 4 months old now! Daddy took me to the doctor for a check up on Friday. I'm 14 and 1/2 pounds and 24 inches long. The doctor said I can eat big girl food. Mommy and Daddy fed me some oatmeal cereal tonight. I think I'm wearing more that I ate.. but it was pretty good.

We went up north this weekend to visit my Grandma and Grandpa Nolan. I missed them! I wish they lived closer to me so I could see them more often.

My first Halloween!

I didn't know too much about this day except for something about pumpkins and candy and spooky stuff.. plus it's the day after my Daddy's birthday. I had a fun day. Mommy picked out this fuzzy little number with a giant spider on it. I wasn't scared. He was a cute spider.

Aunt Holly and Cousin Snoopy came over and spent the day with me. Then Mommy came home. Then Cousin Courtney stopped by. Then Daddy and Grandpa Skip ate dinner with us. Then Cousin Sherryl came over. Then a whole bunch of wierd looking kids kept knocking on the door asking for handouts. They must be poor or homeless or something. Either way.. Mommy is so sweet she kept giving them something to eat.

Next year I'm going to dress up like a princess or a monkey. Maybe I'll even have teeth by then so I can eat some candy.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today we went to visit Grandma Linda and Grandpa Skip to celebrate my Daddy's birthday. As you can see in the photo above.. I was a little stunned cuz I've never seen so many candles in one place. My Daddy sure is old. But I love him anyway.

New playhouse!

I helped Daddy build a new playhouse in the basement today. It's so much fun! I even got to sit in my Bumbo and play inside. I can hardly wait to sit up on my own. Come over and you can play with me. I love to have friends visit.

October posting

Sorry for the long time between posts. I've been busy laughing and playing. My favorite toy is my little yellow butteryfly. Squeeze his tummy and he lights up and sings. I love it! I also like swingtime. I really like watching Elmo, Curious George, and Clifford while I sit in my swing.

Plus I've been busy at home with my new best friend.. my Grandma Linda. She's been playing with me while Mommy and Daddy are at work. She sings to me and plays with me. She makes me feel like I'm the most important person in the world.

8 weeks and counting

Well, I'm officially a Catholic. We had my baptism yesterday and what a fun day! I was a good little girl. I didn't cry or fuss in church. Even Fr. Mark said I was a perfect baby. Then we had a nice party with family and friends. I got lots of nice gifts. Thank you to everyone for coming. It was great. Thanks to Uncle Jim for taking this picture of me, Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Ken (Godfather) and Aunt Holly (Godmother). I'm one lucky little girl!

Lot's of new things since I last posted. I went on my first train ride. My first boat ride. I went to Canada for the first time. I'm sleeping on my back at night. I smile a lot more.. and I'll even giggle if you tell me a funny story.

I'll try to update this more often.. but being a baby is harder than it looks!

One month old!

Where has the time gone? I can't believe I'm a month old already. It's been a fun four weeks. I can hardly wait to see what the future holds.

I went to the doctor on Monday for my one month check up. Guess who's 9 pounds, 1 ounce and 21 inches long? ME!

Do you like the picture of me with my shades? Mommy and Daddy bought them for me 'cuz I don't like the sun in my eyes. We went to visit my aunts and uncles at the lake on Sunday.. and they came in handy. It was fun.

I'm excited for a big weekend of "firsts" for me. My first vacation. My first trip to Canada. My first ride on a train. My first time in a hotel. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Nolan for inviting me to Toronto this weekend. It will be FUN!

My first August ever!

That gross crusty thing finally fell off my tummy. Now I have a little hole there.

People have been SOOOO nice since I've been here. I've gotten a new wardrobe! Thank you to everyone who has dropped off gifts for me. Makes me wish I got here sooner!

I'm headed to the doctor today for a check up. I think I'm almost 9 pounds now. I'm getting too big for my Moses basket.

Daddy's on vacation again this week. I love when he's home. We have daddy/daughter time in front of the GIANT TV in the basement. We like watching The Simpsons and Tiger baseball together.

Mommy makes me feel good. When I get fussy, she calms me down. I like the way she feels. I'm as comfortable outside as I was inside.. except I'm not as goopy. I'm dry and warm. That's good stuff.

Sleeping and eating takes up a good part of my day.. so I don't really have time to update this blog as much as I thought. But please keep checking back.. I'll do my best to update on a regular basis.

Big Weekend

Mommy and Daddy gave me a bath. I don't really do much to get dirty.. but I guess they thought I needed one. I'm told I slept through my first 3 baths.. so this is my first official bath.

Happy Birthday to Mommy!

Daddy and I woke up early today and made Mommy a cake for her birthday. It smells so good.. but I don't think its very fun to make something I can't eat. Daddy says I can have a bottle. Nice.

Mommy and Daddy tell me that I smile and laugh in my sleep. I didn't know what they were talking about. But I guess this picture proves it. It sure looks like I'm having a good time.

First week in review

I went to the doctor for the first time this week. Everything is A-OK. I lost some weight then I gained some weight. I guess I am a Thomas.

We've had lots of visitors this week. It's been fun meeting all these new faces.. but I'm afraid I'm not going to remember everyone's name. So if I look puzzled the next time I see you.. cut me some slack.. I'm only a week old.

This is my daddy. His name is Mike. He's hairy like a gorilla. He calls me his little monkey. I'm starting to think I may be one.

This is my mom. Her name is Theresa. She loves me a whole bunch. From what I hear.. she pulled some strings to bring me here. Something about 9 months.. being uncomfortable.. and prayers. Whatever. She smells nice and holds me good. Plus she feeds me.

Big couple of days

Well.. Mommy and I are home. I love it here. It's cozy.. and my room is super cool. Come visit and you can see it. Thanks to my two Grandmas, I have a very comfortable crib with the prettiest bedding I've ever seen. But what do I know? I was sleeping in goo for 9 months then moved into a plexiglass box at the hospital!

Here I Am!!!

Well.. after 9 long months.. I finally made my way out. Mommy and Daddy seem so happy to see me. I was born at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. My Daddy says I'm a lucky little girl.. cuz I'm 7 pounds and 11 ounces. I'm 20 inches long.. but most of the time I'm scrunced up like my brother Buddy. He's a little frog.. even littler than me!
